I assume I don't have to remind you all of the monster hit that was 'Ho Hey', and how great and amazing it was, right? Ok, good. Well the folk band have been on a non stop roll since. Selling 1.3 million copies of their debut record, garnering multiple Grammy nominations and performing internationally on a sell out tour, the band hope to keep up the momentum with a brand new deluxe edition of their debut album. Due for a 20th of August release date, the set will feature five new tracks including this stunning ballad, 'Darlene'
As soft strums of the guitar begin, frontman Wesley Schultz croons "I see you, standing there in your favourite dress, I like what you wear..". The stripped sound continues throughout with subtle additions of the piano come into the mix and as Schultz pleads 'Oh Darlene, Oh Darlene'. Emotional and uplifting, it has all the perfect ingredients for a festival anthem and one to look out for on the charts in the near future.
