If the title wasn't clear enough, Diplo is one of musics hottest producers, and for good reason. Rising to fame producing cuts for M.I.A., the Major Lazer maestro has since produced cuts for the best in the business, including Beyonce, Robyn, Usher, Marina & The Diamonds and No Doubt.
Renown for his take on a wide vary of musical genres, including dancehall, moombahton and EDM, his 2012 release, the 'Express Yourself' EP showcases this brilliantly. A 6-piece collection of pure head-banging, ass-shaking, jump-friendly beats, a definitive soundtrack to any fun night out for years to come. Fast-forward to July 2013, Diplo drops his latest cut and proves he is consistent as well as brilliant with each release. Hitting one million followers on Twitter, Diplo celebrates by dropping new cut 'Crown' featuring Mike Posner & Boaz Van De Beatz & Riff Raff. The track builds up, accompanied first by Posners smooth vocals, is completely different to what I've heard the maestro do before, but when the beat drops, its classic head-banging Diplo bliss.
Constantly changing the music game with his innovative creations, and consistently releasing great records, its no surprise that Diplo is this weeks 'Artist Of The Week. With a collaborative project with Dubstep mastermind Skrillex, collectively known as 'Jack-U' set to alight music industry ablaze, the release of one the best albums of the year so far, 'Free The Unvierse', a co-produced effort by main man Diplo, and impending cuts to be released with Britney Spears, Beyonce and many more. Diplo could be looking at his most successful year to date.
