Michael Jackson & Freddie Mercury Duets To Be Released

In exciting news, Queen guitarist Brian May has confirmed that duets between the late King Of Pop and the King Of Flamboyance are indeed set to see the light of day, possibly even before the end of the year. These duets were recorded at Jacksons manor during the year of 1983 in California, after Mercury reportedly reached out to Jackson first. The duets in question, "There Must Be More to Life Than This," "State of Shock" and "Victory", were said to be "great songs" according to Mercury himself, in his 'Mercury: An Intimate Biography of Freddie Mercury' biography, and went onto explain that they were "both very busy at that period", hence why they were never released and why it didn't develop into a bigger project. Though a release date is not set in stone (only saying that we'll maybe hear them in a "couple months" time), the duets have been worked on by May himself, fellow bandmate Roger Taylor and Madonna maestro, Willian Orbit.

Exciting news, of course, but you can't help but ask the obvious questions like "What would Jackson and Mercury think?" and "Would they really want this?", and quite frankly we'll never know the answer. We all know how Jackson would "over-record" for albums, and would only pick the very best for his records so maybe there was a reason why these duets never did see the light of day. Either way, the end result will be intriguing and will make many dreams come true for millions of fans.
