Mr. Hudson Makes Gloriously Smooth Comeback With 'Fred Astaire'

In case you were wondering "What the f*ck happened to Mr. Hudson?!" like I was, you can now rest easy at night with knowledge that the bleach blonde hunk is back again. His latest offering, 'Fred Astaire' which obviously plays a little homage to the great star, is brilliantly old school. Over a sample of Jimmy Ruffin‘s “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted.”, the throwback cut just oozes coolness with its retro flavoured beat and clever lyricism. "Let me take you there/Across the floor like Fred Astaire", he sings passionately. I can't say smooth and cool enough when describing this track. With the experimental music trend in mainstream media being huge right now, this track will certainly have no problem making an impact. Earlier today, the star premiered the long awaited visual for the track which premiered back in March. The Rankin and Vicky Lawton directed cut gives us a glimpse into the stars life as the video showcases Hudsons slick and stylish lifestyle. The Future Of The Top40verse Featuring: Paramore, Tich, Fifth Harmony, Ciara and Selena Gomez

This is a regular fixture on the blog that will basically tell you guys what tracks I think have potential to become hits, what songs are already on track to becoming smashes or in some cases, what should be a hit.

Paramore - Aint it Fun: I'll start off by saying that Paramores latest album, is by far one of my favourite releases of the year so far. The album is full of great tracks including this one, 'Aint It Fun', and this blogger here thinks its full of radio potential. The care-free rock cut is definitely an album stand out, with the memorable chorus and all around positive energy of the song. Single Review: Justin Timberlake - Take Back The Night

After a 7 year hiatus from solo music and a sudden announcement that his musical return was indeed happening, expectations were high when the star unleashed 'Suit & Tie' on the world. Meeting a mostly positive response, the star has seemingly met those expectations as his latest album is currently the best selling album of the year so far. Hoping to carry on the success, the singer didn't leave much time before dropping new song, 'Take Back The Night', the first single from 'The 20/20 Experience - 2/2'

Clocking in at almost 6 minutes, must like the majority of the songs on his latest effort, Timberlake giving us retro disco realness. Over a disco, big brass beat with funky horns and synths smooth as butter, the song is practically a leftover from Michael Jacksons 'Off the Wall' album and believe me, that is a compliment. Citing the King Of Pop as his influence many a time during his career, never before has the 'SexyBack' singer done something so much like Jackson before. If this track is any indication as to what to expect from the forthcoming album, could we be getting Justins own 'Off The Wall' record? With the disco trend coming into fashion, something originally started in Korean Pop music and really brought mainstream by Daft Punks 'Get Lucky', the track is current as it is brilliant. Though if you take into account the track is strikingly similar to much of Jacksons 'Off The Wall' and Daft Punks 'Get Lucky', the track maybe isn't all original but still a solid danceable effort nonetheless. Lady GaGa Finally Confirms Single + Album Release Dates

Well, this is good news! Though many had worried her hip operation had put a hault to any ARTPOP-related releases, the star is pressing on with the release of a new single - almost 5 weeks away! With the single premiering August 19th and the album November 11th, you all better get ready for the non stop GaGa promotional campaign that is about to slap us in the face, sure to unnecessarily overhype everything and anything. This seems to be starting with the pre-order of a new ARTPOP app which will be available for pre-order, September 1st. I love me some GaGa don't get me wrong, but I fear for two reasons. Firstly, due to the hinder in the ARTPOP campaign, the music already recorded could sound dangerously dated. And secondly, if she overhypes this as much as she did with Born This Way, she's already setting herself up to fail. However Ill keep an open mind and remain optimistic. Just keep it simple, GaGa.

Ciara's Triumphant Comeback..Sort Of

With 'Fantasy Ride' failing to perform as well as expected and after the catastrophic flop that is 'Basic Instinct' (which I kind of enjoyed), many considered this era to be Ciaras last chance at being a successful artist. Even with a successful single, 'Ride', the album sold a frankly embarrassing 37,000 copies first week, and has sold an even more embarrassing 116,000 copies in total to date. Many attributed this to Ciaras lack of promotion but mainly due to her record label who refused to support her, which evidently lead Ciara begging to be released. Shortly after, the 'Goodies' singer found a new home at Epic Records to release her new record.

Watch: Natalia Kills Slays In 'Saturday Night' Video

Natalia Kills has only gone and done it again. After premiering the amazing 'Saturday Night', the songstress has now premiered the equally amazing official music video. In what many could regard as her best video to date (which is a huge compliment especially with videos like 'Wonderland' in her back catalogue), Natalia, looking every bit of a high fashion star, explores her troubling relationship with her parents. She shows us that even through the domestic abuse, the drugs and the criminal dealing with money, she smiled through it until she couldn't take it no more. It could all be taken as a metaphor as she keeps re-entering the room over and over again despite leaving it as if to imply she can never really escape her past.

The videos personal meaning compliments the songs equal meaning well, and the touch at the end of Natalia and her family sitting down to watch real old movies of the singer as a child really topped it off for me. It'd be a damn shame if this doesn't receive some sort of global recognition. It sure as hell deserves it.

Justin Timberlake teases 'The 20/20 Experience Continues.."

After shocking us all with his musical comeback earlier this year, its even more surprising that the star is releasing another album so soon. Confirming months earlier that indeed a second record is in the works in continuation of the 'The 20/20 Experience', the 'Suit & Tie' maestro has now teased us with a preview of a new song 'Take Back The Night'. Already sounding slick and smooth much like the actor himself, the song gives us huge promise that he is gearing up to release a stellar record, much better than its predecessor. Not to say it was a bad record, I just only really found myself listening to 'Spaceship Coup' after giving the whole record a spin, a song which I still jam to too this day. Beyonce Stuns on 'Flaunt' Magazine Cover, Still No New Music

Continuing to not release any new music from her forthcoming 5th album, Beyonce soldiers on teasing the Beyhive with a new 'Flaunt' magazine cover. Looking drop dead gorgeous, the singer shows off her desirable bod wearing nothing but her birthday suit, covered in glitter. This could be a sign that she's starting the promo campaign for her new album but if she didn't start it at the Superbowl, with the Pepsi deal or the start of a new world tour, this is likely just another dud. Maybe its just me, but I'm kind of over it now.

Artist Of The Week: Natalia Kills

Singer, songwriter, producer, model, actress and short-film director, Natalia Kills, is quite an extraordinary woman. Not that I need to reiterate the fact she's clearly very talented, what makes Kills stand above the rest is one thing and only thing only, and the most important thing above all. The quality of music.

Since introducing herself onto the scene as Natalia Kills, the Bradford-born babe initially released buzz singles 'Zombie' and 'Activate My Heart' before finally releasing her debut effort, 'Perfectionist'. The album itself was a clever mix of dark pop wrapped with clever (sometimes tired) lyrics about money, sex and fame, and catchy hooks. Though the album was good, and by far one of my favourite releases of 2011, the star faced massed criticism. Notably for her apparent similarities to Lady GaGa, the woman who apparently invented everything "out there" to some of her Little Monsters, which overshadowed much of the singers career. With a new era kicked off in full swing, we can hope that the GaGa comparisons can finally stop. Dubbing her sophomore release as 'Trouble', the Cherrytree songstress teased us with 'Controversy' before unleashing the first single, 'Problem'. A storming rock-inspired cut, laced in clever lyrics like "You got the cure, underneath your shirt…Don’t you wanna save this dirty little damsel?". With each listen, the song only gets better and better, and the accompanying visual just puts the cherry on top. Second single 'Saturday Night' sees the star opting for a more pop-friendly sound, especially in comparison to 'Problem'. The song glides through electronic verses as the star gives us major Lana Del Rey realness in the vocal delivery, but before you know it the drums kick in and Natalias belting vocals come into full effect. Singing lyrics, “Momma you’re beautiful tonight, movie star hair and that black eye. You can’t even notice it when you smile so hard through a heartfelt lie", this is without a doubt her most emotional, personal offering to date which she pulls off immensely. Hot off the release of 'Saturday Night', it couldn't be a more perfect time than to crown Natalia Kills as 'Artist of the Week'. The track is by far her most exciting release to date and if that's any inkling as to what her second album has in store, we're in for another great pop album from the ever great and exciting, Natalia Kills.

Hot or Flop?: 2NE1 Make Anticipated Comeback..

After releasing 'I Love You', and 'Gettin Dumb' with will.i.am, the ever so popular girls of 2NE1 finally make their long-awaited comeback with new single, 'Falling in Love'. The song is a straight up Summer anthem fusing together sounds of reggae and dizzy club beats, which accompany the catchy "Touch me over here / Touch me, touch me over there” hook. The video itself is all types of cute too, with the girls looking oh so stunning, working it in some super 'dope' fashions in front of expensive set ups. Personally I think the song is hot, serving up all kinds of fierce and fabulous we've come to expect from the ladies. It's definitely an improvement from the forgettable 'I Love You'.
