Listen: Alesso and Calvin Harris feat. Theo Hutchcraft (From Hurts) - ID (Wild Ones ID)
Two of the hottest DJs of the moment team up for this killer track featuring Hurts maestro, Theo Hutchcraft. A random pairing to say the least but my word, it works like a dream. Hutchcraft does a 180 from his signature Hurts sound ass he adds his lush vocals to Alessos and Calvins pulsating Ibiza ready beat, complete with bouncy dance breaks. This has club anthem written all over it. The UK are going to eat this up!

Are The Sugababes Done?
6 number one singles, 18 top 10 hits, 4 platinum albums, 12 million records sold world wide, it's not a surprise why the 'Babes are the most successful female act of the 21st Century in the UK. Of course an artists greatness can't be (and shouldn't be) measured on record sales and statistics alone. Where there is success with this group, there is also substance. 'Round Round', 'Freak Like Me', 'Hole in the Head', 'About You Now', 'Overload'..just some of the fantastic singles the girl band has released over its near 13 year life span, all of which have been a part of equally amazing albums. However in recent years, their success as a group has seen a sharp turn for the worse with numerous line-up changes, in-group public fall outs and a slump in record sales. With new conflicting reports from members Amelle and Jade about the bands future, I ask "Are The Sugababes Done?".
Earlier this week newest member Jade Ewan, gave an exclusive interview to Digital Spy revealing that "I don’t even know if the band stuff is going to happen again, if I’m completely honest,”. You can really tell she's excited about the groups future by calling the Sugababes "band stuff". She further went on to explain that "Amelle wants to do her own solo stuff, Heidi is doing a Happy Days musical… I think we’re pretty much done.". That statement pretty much cemented what many already believed, and that was that the Sugababes would indeed be no more. However in a recent interview, 8 year member Amelle explained that they were "going to regroup towards the end of next year". Further explaining that they were going to "have a regroup and see if we all want to release another album". Judging from Amelles statement, there at least looks to be some sort of future for the girls though its not for certain. Judging from Jades statement, she's pretty over it.
What this means for the band is uncertain, all we can gather from this is that they're in no rush to push out any Sugababes material but whether they will be able to release material or not is a question worth asking. One of the reasons the latest line-up has been such a failure, is the sheer lack of public interest. Their last album 'Sweet 7' was such a bitter commercial flop, that they got dropped from Jay Zs Roc Nation Label and single 'Freedom' received so little attention, an official release was plugged at the last minute to save further embarrassment. Even if the Babes wanted to release new material, will anyone even be interested? From going platinum to now struggling to sell a single, its quite a stark contrast to the girls success in the early 2000's. You might even say its an embarrassment to the legacy of the Sugababes.

Brooke Candy Reveals 'Dumb' Visual, Remains Flawless
Working the stripper pole like the pro she is and shaking her lady bits like the rent is due tonight, Brooke Candy (who was mentioned in my Hottest Femcee article here) serves what she serves best..Brooke f*cking Candy, of course. Twerking that makes mince meat of Miley Cyrus' attempts and rocking her signature braided locks, Candy plays very much the Head Bitch In Charge as she rocks camouflaged ass-bearing attire as she's surrounded by a bevy of strippers and men. Your standard Brooke Candy affair nonetheless.
As always, she looks fierce in her eccentric fashions and the track itself is pretty hot as she spits "Now pick up, pick up, get your dick up, dick up, it's a stick up, stick up, let go..". Your faves could quite literally never.
On a side note, could you imagine her Kylie collab being anything remotely like this? My word. Lady GaGa & Beyonce who?

Michael Jackson & Freddie Mercury Duets To Be Released
In exciting news, Queen guitarist Brian May has confirmed that duets between the late King Of Pop and the King Of Flamboyance are indeed set to see the light of day, possibly even before the end of the year. These duets were recorded at Jacksons manor during the year of 1983 in California, after Mercury reportedly reached out to Jackson first. The duets in question, "There Must Be More to Life Than This," "State of Shock" and "Victory", were said to be "great songs" according to Mercury himself, in his 'Mercury: An Intimate Biography of Freddie Mercury' biography, and went onto explain that they were "both very busy at that period", hence why they were never released and why it didn't develop into a bigger project. Though a release date is not set in stone (only saying that we'll maybe hear them in a "couple months" time), the duets have been worked on by May himself, fellow bandmate Roger Taylor and Madonna maestro, Willian Orbit.

Mini Album Review: AlunaGeorge - Body Music
So far, 2013 has been a great year for musical duos. We have had fantastic releases from the likes of Daft Punk, Disclosure, Icona Pop and Goldfrapp. Hot off their Disclosure collab 'White Noise' (which made it to No. 2 in the UK Charts), and their own mainstream singles 'Attracting Flies' and 'You Know You Like It', we now have AlunaGeorges long awaited new effort 'Body Music'. Completely separating themselves from the aforementioned duos, both Aluna Francis and George Reid have concocted a unique sound of slick and sexy electro meets 90's RnB. Whether its on the bouncy 'This Is How We Do It' or the slower paced 'Your Love Your Drums', this electro/RnB sound is heard coherently and consistently throughout the whole record. A sound in which the duo has quite clearly mastered. Title track 'Body Music' keeps the sexy and slick atmosphere going strong, but by track 12 the sound can come off as a bit repetitive and a bit done even with refreshing tinges of 2-step coming into play on stand-out track 'Lost & Found', and the soulful-electro, wobble-happy 'Friends To Lovers'.

The Explicit Video Trend Continues: Watch The 1975's 'Sex' Visual
First Robin Thicke with his "unrated" 'Blurred Lines', and then Justin Timberlake with his "artistic" 'Tunnel Vision', these explicit videos don't appear to be going anywhere any time soon. After premiering a black and white visual last year, the lads must of caught up with this new trend as they have just premiered a brand new explicit video for cut 'Sex', from the bands EP of same name. With the songs bold title, comes an unsurprisingly bold video in tow. The members of 1975 make an appearance here and there, but its clear the attention is on the story being told of the couple and their troubled relationship. A story told through a narcotic-induced eye, as they take drugs, party hard and well, of course, have sex.
Despite a few hiccups, like the completely random scenes of the band playing music around the couple while they have sex, the story is told very well, and the nudity is done as tastefully as it can be so the storyline remains very much the primary focus of the video. It's a very refreshing approach to nudity, as oppose to a video based around nudity with no actual storyline whatsoever *ahem* Justin Timblerlake and Robin Thicke. Check it out after the jump!
Ivy Levan Continues To Wow With The 'I Don't Want To Wake Up' Music Video
Tieing up boys, teaching them a lesson and looking glamorous whilst doing it all, why of course its just another day in the life of Ivy Levan. After wowing us with her visuals for 'Hot Damn' and 'Money', Ivy is back once again with a new visual for hangover anthem 'I Don't Want To Wake Up'. In what is a glamerously crazy affair, and the final instalment in a trilogy of music videos, we see the vintage starlet teaching a few bad boys a good lesson as she ties them up before setting the house ablaze. If you only take one thing from this video, it's that you should never mess with Ivy Levan.
Much like the rest of the throwback EP, the song is a gem and the video completes the stunning trilogy nicely. If you're still new to Miss Levan, click here to read my first ever Artist Of The Week post featuring the lady herself.

The Beyoncé Remix Round-Up
Yes, its almost August and there's still no sign of an official new single or album from King B. As reports run riot that the star has scrapped 50 songs from her new album, and that Beyoncé simply can't get it together resulting in numerous pushbacks, there's not a whole lot to celebrate in the Beyhive. A representative from Beyoncés camp has since denied all the claims, but you still can't help but feel a little suspicious. Would she really perform at the Superbowl, debut multiple new songs and sign a 50 million dollar deal with Pepsi (that included music-related funding) and really have NO idea of a rough release date? I digress.
Anyways, there may not be a whole lot to celebrate over in Team B but there is something to pop a party popper over, that being all these random ass remixes appearing from nowhere. Being the generous blogger that I am, I present to you the latest Beyoncé remixes to hit the web all available at a click of a button. Don't say I'm not good to you! With these remixes dropping like flies, there are surely more to come in due course and do bear in mind, that some of these mixes haven't been officially confirmed by Beyonces camp or by the producer, but without any further delay, let's crack on..
Standing On The Sun (SOS Reggae Mix) - Kicking things off with what is probably the most unusual remix of the bunch, this is the 'SOS Reggae Mix' of 'Standing On The Sun'. As the title suggests, the original track has been fused with reggae and dancehall beats and a cool addition from a Jamaican-flavoured hypeman. The track has received positive reviews all round, and I couldn't agree more. It twerks all over the rumoured full-leaked version of the track. Release this already Bey!
